Who we work with
Orion Systems International
In recent times our researchers have worked with Orion Systems International, a health IT software company, in developing prototype software that eventually became its Rhapsody application and is now distributed highly successfully throughout health organisations in the United States.
SoftTech NZ Limited
Our research groups also collaborated with SoftTech NZ Limited to enhance existing CAD software for aluminium window design with 3D visualisation functionality delivering them a key market advantage as they incorporated prototype software into their product.
XSol Ltd
We have worked for several years with XSol Ltd - an Auckland company developing enterprise modelling and automation software. We have assisted the XSol R&D team with development of innovative data integration technologies for enterprise application integration. We have also worked with XSol to assist them in enhancing their business modelling toolset, its visual notations, and the specification of complex business rules and constraints.
Activiser
Activiser worked with the Centre for Software Innovation to ensure their electronic jobsheet product was world class. This collaboration meant that Activiser were assured of having a world class, best practice design using all available research, and, in addition, gave a real-world application to our CSI Academy programme. CSI and the University of Auckland Computer Science Department were pleased to be able to help this small Auckland IT company to develop its ground breaking application and to provide the verification they needed to ensure their product was of the very highest standard. CSI Director Professor John Hosking says "How great it was to work with an innovative local ISV pushing the boundaries". CSI specifically researched mobile interface usability and data gateway architecture ensuring these two critical aspects of Activiser were world class. Activiser were delighted with the outcome. Managing Director Andrew Hunt says "Working with the Centre for Software Innovation at the University of Auckland gave us access to design research we simply couldn’t afford by any other means. Now we know we have our architecture right, and the results have proven it".
